I bought this compact fridge to fit in an 18 wheel truck. I was looking for very specific dimensions to fit in a particularly tight space on the truck and it was just perfect! So the higher price is justified by its unique dimensions. This is a COMPACT fridge so don't expect it to be very roomy like the mini fridges etc advertised at Walmart/BestBuy. The shelves including the side shelves are adjustable and removable which is very helpful when you are packing more products into one want to make a compact refrigerator. I've seen how cold it can be. At first it wasn't too cold so I hesitated to leave. Although the temperature dropped to 30 degrees Fahrenheit (Fahrenheit) after a few hours of work. Even as I put more food in the fridge, it was still able to maintain a relatively low temperature. However, if you put frozen food in this compact refrigerator, the frozen food will eventually thaw and melt, causing liquid to accumulate in the refrigerator. This is not a freezer, but it allows you to store frozen food for a longer period of time. Of course, I learned early on to either put a few sheets of kitchen paper on the floor if I really want to store frozen food in it, or to do without frozen food altogether. In addition, SMETA's customer service was very helpful and friendly. and politely answered my questions about this product. I have previously purchased a smaller version of this compact refrigerator (1.0 cu.ft.) but it was too small for my needs. I was able to email them and they generously helped me get my refund without any problems. They then informed me about their larger compact refrigerators and I chose their 1.6 cubic foot compact refrigerator because it fit the dimensions I needed. 5 stars just for their customer service! Overall I highly recommend this product. That's all it advertises and I haven't had any problems with it so far.
