I bought a few different bowls that look exactly like this one but they sucked. Common problems with this type of bowl are the black insert ring with peeling paint, or the ring not sitting horizontally causing the bowl to lean forward or backward, or even the bowl hitting the edge of the cage and not seating fully. Ring. These special bowls do not have these problems. The black paint is not peeling, the cage mount is straight and works as it should. I received two bowls and both are perfect. The only issue I have is that the wing nut seems to loosen easily when the bowl is hit or my rats are standing on it. I could add some rubber between the different parts for better grip.
