Had to keep my kitten in a cage for 2 weeks after knee surgery. He needed something in this cramped space. They worked and worked as they should. I will keep them for future possible cat problems if they need to get well or if we have house rats again.

I have a very large budgie cage. The kit included food and water bowls for much larger birds. I put the smaller feed cups in the larger ones and it works, but these two smaller cups work better. I can also place these cups anywhere in the cage which is a plus.

I love these bowls. Bought these to replace our piglets' ceramic bowls which they keep turning and messing up! They are very easy to install and the bowls slide out making them very convenient for refilling water or food. The only thing that bothers me is the screw that attaches to the cage that blocks the bowl slightly making it a bit difficult to get it out. BUT this is not a fundamental detail, the shell comes out anyway.

The holder is thin making it difficult to remove the mug. I'm giving them a shot at good old college. Since I bought a new cage for the canaries and another for the finches, I needed extra bowls. There are drop bowls in the cage and they are great. I chose a different set to add more options for my birds. These hold up well. One of the old mugs has a rough bottom so we'll see how long they last.

Cookware breaks down and exposes your pets to toxins. I wash my bowls mostly every night at night. But first time I left it a full day without cleaning, and by the morning of the next day rust had formed in the bowl. I only use them for water and there is never dirt in them because the water bowls are higher than the tallest bird perches. I bought these because they looked strong. It's not like this. I had to fasten the cups in place because the two plates wouldn't hold no matter how tight you tightened the wing nut. The plates slide off the cage wires, twist sideways, and one bends as I try to tighten it. The cups come off very easily, which isn't great if you want them to stay at least as long as there is food in them. I bought a few different bowls that look exactly like this one but they sucked. Common problems with this type of bowl are the black insert ring with peeling paint, or the ring not sitting horizontally causing the bowl to lean forward or backward, or even the bowl hitting the edge of the cage and not seating fully.
