I love this rug, it replaces carpet and greatly reduces the amount of dirt on my floor. I had 3 adopted kittens whose favorite place to play was the litter box so they were constantly jumping around. Instead of all the dirt standing on the mat's surface, most of it was caught in the mat's belts and easily shaken out or vacuumed away. I noticed that the kittens often used the mat's mesh to practice "sharpening" their little claws. At the age of 9 weeks the kittens moved from my foster family to another foster family. Their tray, food and toys stayed with them, but I left the mat outside my dog's door. It looks very nice and really catches the dirt my 3 dogs get on their paws.
