Terrible range much less than advertised

I bought 2 Autel Evo 2 drones - 8k and 6k Pro. I even bought their live deck system to use my VR headset. UPDATE: They charged me a huge fee to return the drone, it was in 100% perfect condition and was returned here shortly after purchase. WARNING, avoid these guys, not worth it. Pros - Software is good, setup is easy, I was able to fly with no issues, modes are reasonable, cameras on both drones were very good. over aggressive. In many cases you are close to freezing within 15 to 25 feet of an obstacle. Very ugly - this is a problem for me. Area. The standard range of 9 km is simply false advertising. I have 2 of these drones - I can't even get 1/17th of that range. I've tried flying in many places, including in open fields far from civilization. What is the best distance I traveled with one of the drones before being forced home? - only 2800 feet. Autel tech support - it took them 8 days to contact me. I tried their live chat, support form, email and left messages on their phone. *8 days. your advice? "Stay at least 30 miles away from a 2.4GHz signal and carefully point the two antennas directly at the drone." How can anyone do that you can't even SEE the drone more than 2000 feet away at 300 feet be able. I see no value in all of the Evo 2's great features when you have such a pathetic range. While Autel backs the claim that "30 miles" is away from any disruption, it's just plain ridiculous. No wonder this drone doesn't check no-fly zones - you won't be able to fly in any of those zones even if you try.
