Review on Teva Men's TANWAY Sandal in πŸ‘Ÿ Chocolate: The Perfect Blend of Style and Athleticism by Kaveen Restoration

No annoying Velcro to put on and take off, good build quality, just a minor inconvenience

I hate velcro straps that you have to undo to take the sandals off. It's okay to tweak the settings, but on/off? No. I don't need that annoying RIP noise every time I take them off. Unfortunately, many sandal manufacturers have switched to Velcro only because it is CHEAPER. Not because he's smarter. It is not. That's stupid. While Teva has quite a few Velcro strapped sandals, this pair, Tanway, uses a plastic Velcro strap to adjust the length. Fasteners can be good and bad. These are mostly good. The best ones are those that can be attached and detached with one hand. One hand is enough to close the tanway closure. The recording end snaps into place fairly easily and two fingertips are enough to insert the end of the clip. Taking it off is a bit tedious as you have to squeeze the clasp, but you can do it with one hand. My 15 year old Clark sandals are lighter because you only have to press the middle release button with one finger. Durability is good. Teva is known for this. A very good outsole with moderately aggressive traction without showing an overly aggressive lateral look. The straps feel like decently made webbing, and the neoprene inner layer offers good cushioning. They get 4 stars for comfort. The problem is in the toe. When a manufacturer designs a strap from the front, they must determine if the overlay will be fabric and how it will drape. On Tanway, a small piece of strap runs halfway down the big toe. The material of the top strap descends and folds over it, causing the pronounced edge of the fabric to press against the toe. It bothered me enough initially after trying them out where I figured I'd get them back. However, I got a great deal on the price and decided to stick with it. Got better. But that doesn't solve it completely. No shoe is perfect. And only very expensive shoes worth several hundred dollars are free from defects. The Tanway is a good shoe for everyday wear, walking and the like, but for long walks? No. You don't need these hiking sandals if you have a big toe. You'll get blisters. GOOD that this is the only place. The rest is OK. Even the insole is well made, with a slightly rough texture to prevent slipping. I take very good care of my sandals and as I won't be using them for long walks or hikes I expect them to last over a decade. , maybe more. I don't know if Teva plans to continue with Tanway. If so, I hope they fix this sock issue that some of their other models don't seem to have.

Pros
  • good producto
Cons
  • Sandals do not offer protection against bumps or injuries.
