I choose a cheap Walmart iron for sealing and it works great. Gallon bags are about the perfect size. Not a bad idea to be prepared, Mylar is a cheap way to provide long-term storage, not just for groceries but for everything from medical supplies to books. Whatever benefits from air and moisture protection, Mylar bags will do. I know some people think this type of activity is extreme, but 2020 has convinced me that ANYTHING can happen. the future and when you look at the aftermath of what the corona virus has done to the world it doesn't get hard. My grandparents were not dependent on anyone. You owned a self-sufficient farm, and when you're not in this situation, you rely on someone else to survive on a daily basis.
