More gray than black, but a great color nonetheless. Used it on my daily driver who had a terribly bad peeling clear coat on the hood. This was my first wrap and it was pretty easy but definitely a little tricky. Luckily, there are many videos on the internet showing you how to install it. However, please note that if your paint has any flaws, they will show up during wrapping. As such, wet sanding is a must if you don't want any bumps or bumps in the end result. Note: My roll of vinyl was quite crumpled in transit, but fear not! Any wrinkles or crumpled parts will heal on their own after you finish wrapping and leave the car in the sun for a while. You can also use a heat gun on stubborn spots to get the film back to normal.
