I used this to connect the pipe (shower bracket) that goes to the shower head. I simply lined it up with the hole I wanted the shower to come out of, marked it with a pencil, and then screwed it to a 2x4 piece, which I connected with parallel bolts on either end. I then screwed on the shower arm (I used some tape just in case) and connected the pipe (flexible plexiglass tubing) to the correct clamp and it was indeed there. very quiet. I made sure the shower pipes weren't in the wall to the next bedroom as I was used to the noisy flow of water from other houses I've stayed in. This is a shower that I built myself and chose all the details myself. , so that everything (from the Sharkbite PEX pipes, Delta valve and hardware to the Sharkbite elbow) comes together to create a shower that's barely audible, even without the drywall. In my case, the media wall is the new living room. When the shower is running, you just don't hear it in the living room.
