I've had the Clip 2 for years and have been waiting for 4 as I didn't feel the 3 was a very compelling upgrade. Did some audio comparisons between 2 and 4 and was totally blown away by the difference; I mean, I was expecting 4 to sound better, but not *it* is that much better! Bass really hits now; With 2 you had to pretty much imagine where the bass lines were because they definitely weren't playing them. The maximum volume is also significantly higher; seems about 50-75% louder in my tests. The buttons are much better at 4, although I wish the power button needed to be pressed and held as it's easy to hit. The 4 doesn't have a microphone, which is somewhat of a downgrade as the 2 has become a decent speakerphone. USB-C is now charging; It's nice to ditch those pesky micro-USB chargers. All in all, this is a great option if you need the functionality of a clip like me (I like to clip it to my bike for some tunes while riding). Maybe a little overpriced, but that's more of a one-time deal.
