Beautiful, functional mailbox

This is one of the simplest and most attractive mailboxes I have ever used. It's made from heavy-duty plastic/vinyl and comes with everything you need for assembly except for the required 4x4 rack. If you are replacing a mailbox that uses a 4x4 rack (assuming you have the existing mailbox in the correct position for USPS compliance), all you need to do is trim the rack to the height of the mailbox rack's inner shell. (The post on the new mailbox is shaped to fit a 4x4, which looks like an "H" in cross-section.) Two screws are included. They are screwed in at the front. The heads are open and made of shiny metal, making them easy to show off. If that bothers you, a simple outfit will be a smear of the right color. The same applies to other screws used to mount the mailbox. The kit comes with a cover that screws onto the 4x4 from the rear. This hides the 4x4 on the back but the edges are still visible. If that bothers you, you can paint the edges of the 4x4 before screwing the cap onto the wood post. This is a very inexpensive mailbox and if you already have a wooden post you only need to cut it down about 2 feet off the ground. Installation takes about 15-30 minutes after the pole is attached. I used a saber saw to cut through my old 4x4, then a set of sockets to install two screws, and a battery powered drill/screwdriver to drive the screws. (The socket should reach the bolt heads. I used a wrench extension and socket. Using hand tools would be more difficult and would take longer. Looks like a functional mailbox. I wouldn't call it fancy by any means, but it looks much better this way as a metal box mounted to a metal bar or wooden cross post - Rear function There are doors at the rear that allow you to open and retrieve mail and/or newspapers (lower compartment) whilst away from the driveway standing box. Where I live this is a great security feature as I lose about one mailbox every year. The mail part of the box (front and back) closes with magnets. I like this feature a lot more than the drawers using the pressure fir to keep the doors closed I would give this one 5 stars but was thinking of a few features like color matching send cap screws, bolts with plastic head covers in the appropriate color. s would have made a nicer finished installation. This should not increase production costs significantly and will improve the appearance of the mailbox. In addition, the newspaper door on the back (the front of the newspaper basket is open) does not fit well and sometimes abuts against the structure of the mailbox. This part looks a little badly put together. Apart from these small flaws, I really like this mailbox because it's beautiful, easy to install and very good. I would recommend this mailbox to friends.
