Since the fan fan was intermittent, I tried the fan resistance first. Fits.
The fan was intermittent, either working properly or not. The likely cause could be the fan motor, this resistor (aka "power stage"), the fuse, or the dashboard control module (aka "IHKA"). After replacing this motor resistor, the fan now runs at 100%. This part is not easy to access and remove, but if you work on it a bit it will come out. Before final installation, first connect the wire harness, let the resistance hang temporarily, and check the system. If everything is in order, fully install the part.
