I have a polished Cisco phone at work and I can buy it cheap as it doesn't come with headsets. I can't say they cancel out noise at all, you can still hear conversations around you, but they work and save you the trouble of holding the phone to your ear during meetings. The mic seems to work well, the earbuds are a bit small and swivel a bit for comfort. The plug is right in the phone and the phone adjusts the volume, there is a static tone when not on a call but I only wear them to meetings so I don't have to deal with that but if you leave them on all the time maybe you have to learn to switch off.
