As long as it lasted everything was fine - not spectacular but good. There were definitely some quirks - the remote wasn't very responsive and at times the speaker would beep and then go silent for a few seconds before the sound came back and this repeated until it decided to stop what could be 10 or 15 minutes. Annoying, of course, but I made up. Unfortunately he dropped out yesterday. It worked, then turned off the sound and now it doesn't work at all. Tried mute button, volume up and down, power. Nothing helps. I replaced the battery in the remote hoping that was the problem, but there it was. I bought it because the TV's built-in speaker didn't work, so it was the only sound source. Stuck at home in the middle of a pandemic, no sound on my TV. :-( UPDATE: So apparently it was just a remote control. The speaker works again but I have to go old school and get up to change the volume. I can live with that so I've downgraded my rating from 1 star to 2 changed, but I definitely didn't want to expect that.
