Review on 🧹 Efficient Floor Cleaning with the O-Cedar EasyWring Microfiber Spin Mop and Bucket System by Patricia Goliday

Much better than my old mop

My Revain review of my new O-Cedar Easy-Wring Microfiber Mop: Pay someone to mop my floors. A few weeks ago she couldn't show up (I think she's in her 70's so I'm honestly surprised she's showing up at all), so I tried cleaning the floor myself. In my (ie her) utility closet I found a mop bar with a sponge attached and some rolled up plastic bags. Literally. I can't tell if she used it all the time, but since I can't recall ever buying a mop let alone a spare head for it, there is no other less humiliating reality. I've been using it, had to repeatedly adjust the sponge and rope from the plastic bag, did a terrible job dropping it on the floor and hopped online to order this mop ASAP. So my discovery is that I would give five stars to literally anything better than a sponge on a stick. Just used this O-Cedar for the first time. I liked it very much. Can be assembled quickly and easily. Uses foot pedal salad spinner technology. Genius! The humidity is adjustable (press the gas for the drying sponge). Again, I'm hardly an expert on mops, but it seems to me that keeping the mop head (if you even call it that) slightly damp will get you more effort. Pressure to pick up more stubborn dirt without creating puddles. In addition, the soil dries faster. Then to remove the mop head, simply stand up a few strands and lift the handle and the head will pop out instantly. Machine washable but lay flat to dry (although I haven't done that yet so can't say how clean it gets). Additionally, there is a bonus feature that it can be used as a foot operated salad centrifuge. On hardwood floors, be careful not to move too fast or the strands will gather into a ponytail, causing you to scrape the floor as you push forward. My young daughter and grandson (don't ask) were so confused about mom/grandmother doing so much handwork that they were really curious. They literally fought over the mop and took turns washing it. Needless to say, this is a testament to how easy it is to use a mop (and what a bad mom/grandmother I am). My cleaning lady came back last week and I hugged her and gave her a raise. Although now that I've tried the O-Cedar Easy-Wring Microfiber Mop, I'm considering finally retiring my cleaner so I can benefit from this free child labor. I will definitely be looking for other O-Cedar products to get on their respective birthdays.

Pros
  • Good thing
