Review on 🎚️ DA134 4-Channel Distribution Amplifier by Rolls by Michael Altayeb

I was looking for a solution to convert the output signal from Sonos Connect (new model - "Port") to 4 audio amplifiers (old school Kenwood) to distribute and pioneer). Amp). I have previously attempted to do this with a CE Labs AV700 but upon power up all connected speakers and powered subwoofer made a harsh popping/crackling sound so this unit was returned. Then I came across this product, Rolls DA134. I was expecting a medium quality plastic part but this is much better! It has a metal body, good components and very good build quality. For my application I installed this unit in conjunction with a number of audio amplifiers and could not detect any additional noise in the signal path. The sound of the ceiling speakers is improved by the stronger signal to the amplifiers compared to the previously used passive patch cord splitter (2 Sonos Connects, output divided by 2 amps each). The included power supply works without any problems and as others have pointed out the tip (-) and socket (+) of the DC end of the power supply is the opposite of usual convention. A purchase for this type of applications is highly recommended.
