I won't lie my kitten (8 months old) hated it but it was so expensive for him! The felt is thick and sticks out nicely (unless it's been soaked in water from a bowl). I warn you, if your cat (or dog) has a thick, soft coat, they can get caught on the Velcro if you're not careful. But be careful when dressing (or ask a friend for help if your pet is too cocky) and you'll be fine! It didn't seem to slow him down at all as he still jumped onto the bed and used it to climb his tower. I recommend not leaving it on for too long as it can interfere with getting in and out of the closed grounds container.
