My son ordered this to replace his lost key fob. We first looked at a lot of key fobs (alone with no programming) and planned to have a locksmith program them. But with this option it gets expensive, around $200 and maybe more. We came across this option and decided to give it a try. My son got a new key in 15 minutes! It worked like a charm. Now there are some caveats. Firstly, the instructions are detailed and you need to follow and follow everything carefully. It's not difficult, it's just not to be taken lightly. Second, when you're done, you must take the machine out of programming mode, otherwise BOTH buttons won't work when you test them. My son ended up forgetting this step and initially both the new key and our old key didn't work. Here people tend to go crazy and think that everything went wrong. He doesn't, just take a final step or two to bring the machine out of programming mode. After he fixed that, everything worked great! Watch a video or two about it beforehand and you will understand. If you can follow the instructions, you can do it. And you will save a lot of money.
