Please make sure you read the product description completely before ordering. The manufacturer is very clear that "Alexa audio compatible" means you can use the system as a Bluetooth speaker for an Alexa device and NOT control the lights through the Alexa app. Also, since it's a Bluetooth device (not Wi-Fi), it can only connect to your Alexa device OR your Apple device. That makes day-to-day use of the system with Alexa impractical, as you have to manually reconfigure the Alexa and Pulse apps every time you want to switch between light control and speaker control. On the other hand, these aren't bad speakers and the system works well when controlled solely via an Apple device. Using it without Alexa makes sense for a college dorm or small apartment where space and budget are limited, I think.
