I bought two of these fixtures and they are beautiful but the design is very difficult to install.The mounting plate has four screws which are moveable and very difficult to line up. My husband and I installed one fixture and we paid an electrician to do one. The electrician was unable to get all four screws, and he gave up. That one is held up by only three screws but it seems OK.I have a few tips, if you decide you want to try to tackle this:1) wear gloves when pulling off the white plastic - You will never get all those fingerprints and smudges off trust me.2) pull the white plastic off and install the crystals before hanging3) line up the screws with the holes on the fixture ahead of time and tighten the nuts down so that the screws can’t move once you have the mounting plate up on the ceiling (my electrician did not do this. He was swearing profusely in Russian - didn’t know I speak a little Russian LOL )4) leave the cardboard on the shade until after the light is installed. The shade most likely will get dented as you wrestle with this thing struggling to get the screws lined up with the holes.One of the chandeliers was installed in front of our front door and I didn’t have quite enough clearance, so I shortened the crystals. It worked out great. It’s a very pretty light fixture and I love them now that they’re done.
