Unfortunately a distracted or debilitated driver crossed the center line on the same size truck and took out my driver's wing mirror (and miraculously nothing worse happened) , then he drove on instead of stopping like any idiot should. It's a good thing that I like these inexpensive replacement mirrors better than the rounder standard mirrors, not aesthetically, but functionally. The small lower part of the stock mirror was not good enough to eliminate the blind spot below and near the truck, the much larger lower mirror on these replacements is much better and adjustable (I seem to have read an answer to a question that pointed out that the lower mirror is not adjustable but can be manually adjusted like a standard mirror). Installation was easy after watching a YouTube video. The mirror's mounting surface has an L-shaped plastic tab that can be used to position the gasket during manufacture/assembly, but will interfere with the installation of the mirror. I took a bite out of it and the mirrors fitted nicely with a small gap at the very top of the outer trim. Overall I'm happy and no longer angry with the driver because these inexpensive mirrors are so much better than the stock mirrors.
