Summary: Best used as a larger portable speaker as it has long battery life, better sound than a regular portable speaker and a smaller footprint than larger portable devices. A remote control is also helpful. Pros: Better sound and better battery life than small portable speakers. You can use Bluetooth, coaxial cable and standard headphone jack. A remote control is available as with larger devices. Cons - Although it can be used as a static speaker for TVs, don't expect amazing bass or extremely loud sound. There are better soundbars (of course, and for a lot of money). There is no HDMI port and the coaxial port is a single port that is not divided into right and left. I often listen to audio books while doing other things, wanted to explore using different speakers for use around the house as I'm slowly automating various functions and sometimes needing to provide an audio source for my presentations. I started by connecting this soundbar to my TV. While it can work that way, it's not the best use for this device as there are better devices out there for this purpose (perhaps for a lot of money). I then connected it to my phone via Bluetooth to listen to my audiobooks with others and found it lugging it around the house, out into the yard and even in my old van. The battery life seems to be quite long (I've used it outside, worked in the garden, started early in the morning, all day and then returned home in the evening without having to charge it in between. So far I can do this more easily with my wireless one headset/headphones, the battery life isn't great and I obviously can't share the audio output). Charging is done using the included cable, which plugs into any available USB charging port. No power supply required. The battery cover or user-serviceable screws are not visible. Also included is a headphone cable and a coaxial cable. A remote control is available. While I didn't need it for outdoor use, I see where it would be useful if I installed it outside under my running deck and on my patio. I have some outlets on my decking and can see where I could install an outlet with built in USB ports for charging, and I only need a power cord to connect the speaker, no AC adapter to go with the fight. I see myself doing the same thing in my garage and later hooking it up to one of my Revain Echo Dots. Overall I like this product. It's a lot better than the smaller devices that are often given away for free, and offers some of the features of larger devices at a lower price. It can be used in applications without the need to cut through walls or the physical limitations that a power supply sometimes entails.
