I'm a professional upholsterer and know how much staplers cost so I was very skeptical but I was also broke and needed an extra gun. This is a fantastic lightweight stapler! It's perfect for lightweight fabric and vinyl - you know those projects where your regular pistol punches staples right through the fabric and into the wood? This is the weapon you need for these projects. If you're a hobbyist or new to upholstery, this is a good starting gun - just what you need for dining room seating or pretty much any small project. It's also good when you're feeling insecure - sometimes you need to temporarily put the braces on and take them off again, and this is the weapon for that. I'm excited. I've had times when I've had to go back and pound the staples in with a hammer - in my case I switch back to my high power pistol when that happens. It takes standard 3/8" crown calipers, the same as my other gun. The only complaint I have is that "safety" is a silly little thing that twists behind the trigger, and sometimes i accidentally press it and it gets in my way eventually i take it off thats it its an awesome light duty stapler.
