The SET49 bearing kit was a great replacement for the snarling and whining wheel bearings in my wife's 2007 PT Cruiser. PT Cruisers have a reputation for changing bearings relatively quickly; The car is a derivative of the Neon and uses many powertrain and suspension components, but weighs 1000-1500 pounds more than the Neon. In front-wheel drive vehicles, bearings live under high loads. Chrysler engineers have struck again and the bearings have not been upgraded/oversized to handle the extra weight. So they wear out in 50-60k miles instead of the 100k-150k you would expect from a modern wheel bearing kit. The bearings were good quality for the price and pressed in with no problems; they are finely crafted. Driven about 500 km with no problems, silence in front. I expect these bearings to last at least 65,000 miles like the original bearings.
