I bought this cable specifically to use my USB 2.0 Type B microphone on a network. I actually made it an "almost permanent" connection. The microphone is a LyxPro HHMU-10 cardioid dynamic USB microphone. It's a good mic, but the USB Type-B port was shaky; it kept dropping out or shutting down. Aggravation led to innovation. I found this USB 2.0 A female to B male cable and - as I like to do cross pollination from different areas - connected it to a Honda motorcycle wiring harness connector/cover through an eBay dealer. Size, small: a flexible but strong rubber cap that slides over the magnet or rotor cap (for spark plugs) to seal the installed and microphone connected USB 2.0 B connector to the end of the microphone by pushing it up slide up and down for a very snug fit with friction. It required serious effort, fumbling, squirming and grunting. even after applying soapy water to the ConnectorCover port and USB Type-A socket on the outside; but I finally got this pup to break through. I attached the Type-B connector to the mic, then used the same "soap technique" to get the ConnectorCover to fit snugly onto the end of the mic. I was in a firm shape as I expected/hoped for and then somewhat fit. Now it works like a charm. Perfect for this very finished application. Couldn't have done it without it cool; surprisingly hard to find; Combo USB Cable. Glory!
