Both items are very functional. It's not an agreed set though, it's something that appears to have been put together as a set by the seller. This is pretty obvious as the reds don't go together and don't have the same style. If this is a purchase for home use, then most likely everything is fine. However, it is a gift that could be reconsidered. As for the features, they work well. The "spoon with fingers" appears to be made out of silicone or some fairly malleable plastic and is great for lifting pasta. The handle is shoulder-free, fits comfortably in one hand. This is probably the higher quality of the two items. Finger pliers work well. The "fingers" are made of harder plastic than the spoon-shaped tool. The metal feels less durable etc. However, it worked fine both times I used it. Time will tell how well it holds up. Both are easy to clean in the dishwasher.
