GREAT PRODUCT - Trimmer

This works great and should work with almost any recessed lens and decorative ring except eyeball types. Know that your old trim will stay in place while it fully covers the old trim. So installation is as easy as changing a lightbulb. Unscrew the old lightbulb, screw in this mount, screw the lightbulb into this mount and point the head at the object you want to light and you're done. If you have an eyeball finish, this product probably won't work for you unless you first purchase an open finish that will hold the lamp socket, or obtain a mounting plate for the socket from a recessed glass manufacturer. I know this because I sell lighting products for an electrical wholesaler. If you don't understand what I'm talking about call your local electrician to find out for you as it would take too many words to explain here. Regarding another reviewer's comment that only R30 bulbs can be used and no PAR bulbs are accepted, this applies to all fairings. Only certain lamp and finish combinations are approved for use with PAR hot-halogen lamps. But while LEDs are evolving, you can buy low wattage LED bulbs (e.g. 10W to 20W designs), PAR30 or PAR20 LED bulbs that offer more beam steering and focusing options (e.g. B. 10 degree spot) and they will work just perfectly. Just note that it's a thermal issue with inefficient 50W or higher PAR halogen or incandescent bulbs that prevents you from using them in this case, and those inefficient bulbs are likely to become unavailable in the near future anyway be. since the LEDs take care of all the lighting. The trend has already started and will intensify. Yes, you can get the same amount of light with a 12W LED as with a 65W incandescent bulb. Do the math. If an LED has a lifespan of 25,000 hours, 53 watts saved during that time would result in an energy saving of about 100,000 hours.
