I really like this steering wheel. It took several attempts to secure it to keep it from slipping off. The included spacers are smooth nylon, and no matter how hard you tighten the screws, they'll slip. After reading other reviews I used a piece of bike inner tube between or instead of the spacer AND double-sided tape. I have double tapeed the handlebars, wrapped with a layer of rubber hose, double taped, etc. You can make it as thick as you need for the handlebars. Just make sure you put tape between each layer and the tubing is soft enough to squeeze so you have a really good grip. This will prevent each layer from slipping. Now it doesn't slide at all. The panel raises my headlight higher so I get a better angle and therefore better lighting, and my phone is also higher so I can see it without having to lean over.
