Guitar/Bass/Instrument Power Amplifier

I've tried it as a guitar power amp, from a preamp pedal to a mixer to Nobsound and to a 15" speaker cabinet. I measured some decibels using a phone app and this amp was able to push the speaker to around 120dB peaks - pretty loud. There was some distortion to keep this loud though. This was tricky because this amp has a lower input sensitivity than I'm used to with most instruments, so I really had to turn the mixer output down (about -20 to -15 on the master meter). However, it was fairly easy to get over 110dB of pure sound out of a 15-inch speaker. Compared to what is available in the professional audio world, this makes this product very attractive. However, it does require some basic know-how to get the levels and tuning right, and the unit is definitely not as robust as most instruments. However, when you pair it with a $40 Joyo British Sound pedal, you get a 100-watt Marshall-sounding head for less than $100. In order to make the sound louder, I would advise to buy this product without AC adapter and then get the power with higher voltage. deliver separately. This will help create extra headroom should you want to crank it up a bit. I was generally impressed but returned this unit for a stereo version and a better power supply.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
