I don't know if the manufacturers improved on this part or if other reviewer's cars were just not suitable models, but older 2000 Toyota threads needn't be hunted down. The new part is slightly longer from the screw shoulder to the end of the dome, but this is not critical. The old plastic cap doesn't fit, but I don't think it really does anything other than protect the part while the car is being assembled. The part fits snugly in critical areas. There is no "adjustment" screw, which was just a leak waiting to be fixed at a factory part. Works great to facilitate the installation of the 2 sealing washers (one on each side of the fuel hose), loosen the 12mm bolt holding the hose to the motor. Replace the washers, the old ones are disposable copper washers and the new ones come with the part. So far there are no obvious leaks. Much better gas mileage and starts faster than the old leaking one.
