Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ FUSING 900 Moldable Silicone Putty: Unleash Your Creativity! by George Kapoor

It works great for GoPro!

I recently bought a YoloTek GoPro power stick. This device is said to come with a very small amount of their silicone waterproof putty to wrap around your GoPro's cable connection to prevent rain/water from getting inside. Unfortunately, they seem to have some issues; As seen in many reviews, most of their power stick packaging does not come with waterproof putty as advertised (which I think has turned out to be an honest mistake on their part that they are only trying to correct with the help of their customers being made aware of it ). And buying it separately is just ridiculous because of its high price ($30 per box last time I checked). This E/Fusing 900 works phenomenal as a replacement. It doesn't dry out (even on a hot Florida summer day) and its consistency stays the same. It's very easy to work with and doesn't take much effort to create a functional seal around your GoPro's cable connections. And one of the best things? You get a significant amount of this material; more than I'll ever need for my multiple GoPros (the photo of the roll in my hand is what's left after using it liberally to seal a GoPro in two places on the power stick). All for half what YoloTek charges for a box of their waterproof putty (which they only supply in small quantities compared to the quantity you get from this E/Fusing 900). This material has many different uses, but it just knocked it out of the park for my purpose. The only cons I've come across so far are: 1. If you don't know how to successfully protect an electronic device from water (instead of making it waterproof), you can kill your GoPro or other device. This is of course entirely up to the user and the E/Fusing 900 is not to blame for that. I just think it can give a false sense of security to those who misread it. A great example of this is my GoPro which you can see in the photo I uploaded. This is a GoPro 8 with a new battery cover that allows you to connect a USB power cable. This new battery case is not waterproof. Some are and some are not; it's not mine. Some users have killed their GoPros thinking they waterproofed the unit by applying E/Fusing 900 (or Yolotek silicone putty or similar in their case) like I did, but they didn't . It's waterproof only. If submerged, water will get into the battery cover slots and destroy the GoPro. Again, this is ultimately user error, but worth your attention if you intend to use it for the same purposes as me. 2. After treating with YoloTek silicone putty that one of my friends bought, it became easier to work with, but not by much.3. Some people may not like the color. This is where YoloTek's clear silicone putty puts the E/Fusing 900 to shame. Personally, that doesn't bother me at all. Especially since the options seem so limited. Good luck to everyone with your projects!
