Review on GeeekPi Raspberry Cooling Cooler Heatsink by Raffy Baer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing radiator! in single board computers

My base temp with OpenELEC installed was 50C. Installed on the skin and idle about 52C. After I installed this cooler the idle temp dropped to 33 degrees. When watching movies in 4k, my temperature never exceeded 35 degrees. I have not overclocked my 8GB Raspberry Pi 4. There's really no reason to overclock it for OpenELEC. I brought this little heatsink kit for a copper heatsink. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079FV2RH3/ I brought this little tube of Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011F7W3LU/ I also had other heatsinks after ordering my Raspberry Pi. First I scraped the paint off the bottom of the heatsink with sandpaper. It takes about 30 seconds to get to the copper. I then placed a 0.5mm thick copper heatsink on top of the CPU and applied a thin layer of thermal paste to it. I have taken other radiators to place where they fit. Everything has a cooler. I had to move a heatsink slightly off center to make it work once installed. I also ordered a case for Ice Tower on Etsy. I saw plans to 3D print it myself on Thingiverse. I have a 3D printer, but it's temporarily in the attic. So I went ahead and brought one with me.

Pros
