DYES SYNTHETIC HAIR!

This review probably won't help most of the visitors of this article, but I have to share my success. I watched a few YouTube videos showing how to dye synthetic hair, then bought this dye and a dark red to dye my synthetic blonde auburn or copper hair a darker, less vibrant burgundy. I poured 70 percent isopropyl alcohol into a clear spray bottle and then added some ultra blue ink to the bottle with some of this red to make it magenta. I then sprayed the mixture onto some of my cheaper hair ties, to test them. Brown with tan tones was not very successful. But the bright copper-colored "ruffled" curly scrunchie turned out to be very useful. It's still a bit lighter than my hair, but it will do. The ink makes the hair less shiny but that's a good thing as some synthetic hair is too shiny and my hair is very dry, frizzy and dull anyway. I have an oily hairspray that has enhanced the shine. You can always go darker with this mascara, but never lighten with synthetic hair. Warning: I haven't listened to others saying to use this in a well ventilated area like outdoors. I probably have a poor sense of smell due to chronic allergies and sinus issues and the smell didn't really bother me, when i used it. But later it caused terrible migraine-like headaches. I recommend using a mask when spraying if you must use it indoors. I sprayed the color into a very, very large bowl that I use when I color human hair. I bet this thing can mess up a white sink. I rinsed it in a stainless steel sink and cleaned it right away. Some recommend letting your hair dry for a few hours or a day or two before washing and then using some sort of conditioner. It's much simpler and easier than the "Cut" method, which I haven't tried yet. The pictures show the same chewing gum, same brand, same type and same color: one colored and one not. One lady used a mix of black and burnt umber. Ink to make a light silver blonde wig a beautiful brown color.

Pros
  • WATER BASED ACRYLIC PAINT - ideal for printing on paper, wood and cardboard. Not recommended for use on fabric
Cons
  • Very Expensive
