We bought. We are tired. this is a joke Each of my daughters has a hamster. Two hamsters = two cages and two everything else. We thought it would be interesting to try potty training her furry friends. We looked for ways to do this and even bought small litter boxes. The girls figured out where their hamsters seemed to "go" most, filled their mini-trays with Kaytee Potty Litter and placed them in the designated spot. We watched the hamsters explore their new potty but none of them bothered to actually use the toilet in it. Rather, they fill their trays with litter and bury food. In fact, they tend to use the sand bath not only for bathing but also for potty training. Our two hamsters are not litter box trained. Just a waste of money. The experiment failed!
