I have a relatively long (1/4 mile) underground coaxial cable, with PoE over coax modules that carry power and Ethernet traffic over the cable. I've had the occasional lightning-related surge that ripped out devices on both ends, but since installing this device on one end I've had no problems. It is well made and serves its purpose.
