Bought a cable from Anker a year ago. This caused my iPhone to overheat and burn out its electronics. I was told that this was an unusual phenomenon that they had never seen before. Due to the durability of the cable, I decided to buy another one after another brand's cable finally snapped. I got a new cable from Anker two days ago. During those two days my phone overheated twice! It got so hot that I took it out of my suitcase for the first time in 2 years. Just recently my phone was at 4% when I plugged it in. It had to be unplugged and removed from the case to cool down, until it only reached 16%. I have purchased many Anker products, cables and chargers. , For last years s. Their products are durable and strong. However, rechargeable batteries do not fully charge after several months of use, and their cables allow products to overheat. They have great engineers designing the look of their products. However, they need new engineers to work on the core functionality of their products. I ended up playing roulette with their products against my phone.
