Purchased to align the drawers in the dining room sideboard and dresser. Advantages: very soft, drawers open and close much more quietly, dishes don't rattle. Cons: The felt is rolled so tight that as the material unrolls, there are lines or "veins" in the middle of the roll where the back of the head actually expands and you can see the back. Probably the last 2-3 feet would be useless if you put it in expensive jewelry boxes. It worked well in my dining room drawers. Can't speak to the glue - I didn't want it to be permanent so I just used masking tape donuts to press down the edges.
