With so many options to choose from, it seems that choosing ED and BAK4 glass was the right choice. Not wanting to commit to a mediocre product that I won't be using in a few weeks, I ended up slightly over budget with the Gosky 2021. The ED glass seems more than worth it - very natural colors, details are sharp and clear throughout the zoom range. It's not made for that, but the view of Jupiter and some of its moons and even the smallest rings of Saturn is very exciting. While the Gosky is great for terrestrial observations, this telescope gave me a good idea of what to look for when getting my first telescope. Highly recommended.
