The power rack's legs had to be shortened to fit in the garage because they were stored on top. Even though I covered the grate with oleum, the edges were still very sharp. These end caps were the perfect "finishing touch" to the rack, plugging both edges and adding a missing piece that looks like it should have been included from the start.
