When I first got it I was a little pissed off as for some reason I thought it was MUCH bigger, but as we used it I realized what smaller is better because it takes up less space. It kept my 1 year old busy for a while when we first got him and he keeps coming back to him months later! I really only have two minor complaints: 1.) the edge is a bit sharp, I would have preferred it rounded, but that's not a problem, and 2.) the smallest carrot is just a little smaller than I'd like, which could be a potential choking hazard although my son has never attempted to shove it down his throat so that has never been a problem either but I still watch him closely when he plays with it. In general, the toy is good, I am very happy with it!
