Great light installation plan

Purchased to improve the lighting and appearance of my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD. Removing the old headlight was easy. The foam gasket around the old lantern needs some help to release the light. However, this does not apply to the installation of a new lamp. Yes, the light installation is easy. I did a test landing and tested the light node before installing it. However, one of the clips needs to be squeezed as it will not stay over the hole that was used by one of the mounting screws. The bigger issue was the foam gasket (gasket) that comes with the light. I made the mistake of installing a gasket on the headlight assembly. If I had to do it again I would recommend installing it on the bodywork where the headlight attaches. This way it will be easier to align the two screws that hold the flashlight in place with their mounting holes. Another thing you need to do is install the rubber O-rings on the screws after inserting the screws into the holes to mount the bracket. This will help align the light with the hole in the roof panel where the light is attached. I glued a gasket to the headlight. It's ok if you don't need to remove the light to move the clip on the screw body so you can tighten the light after installation. Removing the headlight after initial assembly is no fun. The adhesive on the foam will not come off after installation. Anyway, I hope my comments help others.
