The wires are not the same length and are not perfectly round, so the wheel-shaped brushes tend to jump and bounce. Long wires on cup brushes cause scratches. I tried cutting the wires to the same length, which helped but didn't fix the issue. I went to the local store and spent more money on a new set of brushes, they are easier to use and the results are much better.
