Works well. Understand what he will and won't do before you order.

Installation couldn't be easier. I installed it in my 2015 GMC Canyon with a basic stereo and smaller screen. Remove the bezel/vent panel around the radio then you will need to unscrew the four 7mm screws. Pull out the screen and locate the green connector. Unplug it and plug in this adapter, then plug the cable you just unplugged into the other end of the adapter and you've got it installed. Now you can plug in the RCA cable and connect it to the amplifier. Then reinsert the screws and replace the plate. It has gain that can be adjusted but their method didn't seem practical to me and I miss special gear so I left it where it was and adjusted the gain on my amp instead. Like many basic adapters of this type, this adapter does not have a 12 V remote power connection. In my case, I simply ran a remote control wire into the 12 volt "cigarette lighter" adapter harness in the rear seat area. It turns on and off with the car when you turn off the car and open the door. Simply remove the fairing and the wiring harness is easily accessible. I removed the retaining clip, routed the wire on the 12v side and sealed it with tape. Make sure it is securely fastened, if it comes loose the amp will turn off. . You can determine the correct side when you have connected the power cord to the amplifier. Just try each wire until you see the amp turn on, then secure. I taped mine, then folded it up and taped some more before folding it back up and adding more tape. I got 3000 watts at 2 12" from it and had no trouble disconnecting the cable. If you have a Canyon or probably its Colorado sibling model, there is a large cable grommet next to the brake booster that you can cut a hole through to passing the power wire through. It seems like the best option. I ran a 1/0 wire through and fiddled with it a bit. Make sure you adjust the gain on your amp and I highly recommend a model with a bass control, as the factory head unit won't be able to tune your subwoofer very well.. in flight. If possible find one that has a 'light' on the bass control - this will save you a lot of gain adjustment and probably save you from a burned out subwoofer or one defective amp I believe Revain have a brand called Black Diamond that has a clip and down4soundshop make a range of "JP" amps but i I don't think they're available for Revain.
