The best ever for keeping outdoor cattle troughs from freezing.
I have been using this type of heater for several years to supplement heat for cattle troughs. I've used heating pads before but a drop of water on them could cause them to crack. These ceramic heating bulbs can easily withstand dripping water. I use a winter or two from an onion. The braid they are inserted into often corrodes in the summer, a common cause of breakage.
