My husband has another brand (famous and twice the price) and this little gem will do anything he does. I can "tag" each shot to see how far I've hit. It's amazing how far you BELIEVE you're on target than you actually are. Of course it tells me right away how far I am from center front and center of the green. (In fact, it does this much faster than my husband's old GPS.) I appreciate how small the device is, it fits easily in my pocket or on my trolley's tray. The lengths are large enough to be easily read, with the possible exception when trying to read control points (distance to bunkers, water, trees). I don't have a problem, but others might. While it doesn't propel itself to the next hole, it's not cumbersome to do it yourself and it's a lot less annoying than using a device that wants to get to the next hole faster than you (my husband's GPS). You can sync your own courses or download the first 5 courses for free, but you can always upgrade to more courses for a one-time fee of $30. The department will have 10 courses. So far I've only gotten along well with my 3 local courses. I don't know how long it will take between charges. I usually bring it in after two or three rounds and load it up. (It only takes 1.5 rounds.) It's very easy to set up and use, even for non-specialists like me. Would definitely recommend to a friend or buy for my husband when/if he dies.
