Sole glue dissolved in sock

It was quite comfortable. Not a lot of ankle support but I guess that's to be expected. The cushioning in them was great, and I don't recall there being excessive or insufficient arch support. However, after about 5 hours of wearing, I could no longer separate the socks from the shoes. I think my foot got so hot that it slightly heated the glue on the sole and melted it into the sock. In fact, the sole "splintered" a bit when I had to separate it. I tried putting them back on the next day but the sole no longer held in place when I put the shoes on. I had to press on the sole to get my foot in, which softens the 'simple' aspect of these shoes. After a few minutes of wearing, the sole started to clump and move towards the toes. Sheet! I ended up sending it back as defective. I would probably recommend them to anyone, but I may have come across a defective pair.
