Sir Fragile Skin has a great paint job

Bought this for my fiance. He loves history and France and the concept of French chivalry etc. He is also a writer, old-fashioned enough to have a diary in which he writes his stories. a call to arms, a call to write. He liked it and named it Brisklavr after a kind of French folk tale. However, one night I pulled on the rope (not with great force or speed) and it fell off the shelf, just above the waist, onto the carpet. His arm fell out from under the shield and broke in two places! Luckily I ordered the blue version and the paint didn't peel off much and I was able to super tape the arm, hand and fingers (at least the fingers were tight). There is a small chip on the finger, but I'm trying chalk pastels, painted with several layers of watercolor and then spot sealed. It has to fit well and you never know when it's broken. However, I feel the need to turn the knob so the light side is on that hand every time I see it backwards. We call it his battle wound. i just feel it Despite its weight (and the base is quite hefty), I wish it didn't have glass heels, so to speak. I would be more likely to buy other items from the seller if they were more durable because we don't buy things just for fun only to throw them away in a renovation after two years. We need things that we will keep. Brisclaret may not have the power to do so, and that is unfortunate.
