I have a hybrid bike that is much heavier than a regular bike so I needed something stronger than most top tube adapters I've seen at Revain. It feels heavy duty, there are no weird rivets holding the full weight of the bike like some others I've seen. But it's too long. My bike isn't even small - I had to take a bike rack with me because I couldn't fit this bike in the trunk of my car. But this product is at least an inch longer to fit securely. I hung a pair of thick socks on hooks to get a snug fit. It's not perfect, but it's all I have now. I think it's enough for short trips on slippery roads. My main concern is that it will shake and scratch my bike. I don't think it will come off. But just in case, I'll definitely use spare straps. Update: I put rubber tubing on the ends. This reduced the distance between the hooks just enough for it to work and looks way better than socks. I was able to transport my bike and even rode a few kilometers on the motorway at 100 km/h without any problems.
