The goods are normal, money is not wasted!
I recommend taking stock. Then the value for money is excellent. Minus 1 point, in general, only for the problem with touch control that bothers me personally. The rest of the shortcomings are more for reference. About soundproofing. The sound that plays in the headphones is almost inaudible to others. But here the environment in the headphones can be heard well. If the music is not loud, you can talk to someone without removing it. That is, it is not suitable for noisy rooms. As far as I understand, this was done on purpose, since the headphones are sports, and you can’t be “deaf” when jogging on the street.
- - The sound in standard mode is excellent. I listen to music and watch series. But I will make a reservation that I am not a connoisseur of sound quality. I compare with expensive and cheap earplugs. Problems with sound quality only in cases: 1) if you move too far away from the computer, for example, to another room (that is, when the connection is broken), 2) in headset mode, the sound is terrible, but see below for more on that. - Beautiful and well put together. Strict, minimalistic design (I have a black version). They look quite original due to obvious constructivism, voids and perforations. Compact, if you roll up the "ears". Nice materials. - They sit tight. They are well suited for physical activity, physical work, because the metal arcs of the headphones are elastic like a spring, they are strongly pressed from the sides, that is, they cannot accidentally fall. But there is a minus in this - not everyone is comfortable with such compression. I gently stretched the metal arcs to the sides and thereby loosened the compression (while sitting just as securely). - Finely adjustable according to the size of the head (many grooves-divisions). - Share price. For Hellas, apparently, there is some kind of special promotion strategy in 2022: they are often sold with a fantastic promotional discount. At their full declared price, I would never have taken these headphones. But according to the action, the price is quite consistent with the quality / functionality.
- - Touch control is the most annoying moment in these headphones (maybe in others, there is simply nothing to compare with). In general, I prefer touch control in any device, and I thought it would also be convenient and familiar here. But no. There wasn't a day that I didn't accidentally press the sensor and pause a video or music. I touch with my shoulder or it’s not at all clear how with a strong turn of the head. I also sometimes adjust the sound with a swipe, and the headphones understand this as a click and pause. For myself, I concluded for the future: headphones are better with mechanical, tactilely felt buttons. Touch control is good only in those devices where you see with your eyes, where you poke. - Terrible sound in headset mode (that is, with the microphone turned on): 1 channel, 16 bits, 16000 Hz. And for me it was a little shocking, because I'm used to good sound when I'm talking on Skype. At first I thought I just couldn't set it up properly so I contacted Urbanears and they explained that "This is absolutely normal. A more powerful battery is required to support both high quality input and output at the same time ". In short, as a headset I do not recommend. It is better to include a third-party microphone for communication. - I had to dance with the tambourine in the Windows sound control panel to set the horrible headset mode. With some quite logical combinations of enabled devices and “default devices”, everything is cut off: both the microphone and the headphones themselves. - In general, there are no normal step-by-step instructions on how to set up headphones. Many important points are not described anywhere. - Constriction of the ears. Even if you intentionally stretch the design, when worn for a long time, there is still a feeling of squeezing on the upper part of the ears. You have to occasionally shoot a little to rest your ears. I guess this is a problem with any similar headphones, where the ear pads overlap the ears, and do not cover them completely. For me, this is generally uncritical, but the girl didn’t want the same headphones for this very reason. - Almost no soundproofing.
