Not sure about other smell reviews. Maybe they used too much in their laundry? You should only use a teaspoon for a full load, and it does exactly what it says on the tin: removes odors. We have three dogs and two toddlers and this has proved indispensable for removing vomit odors from bedding, wet dog odor from dog beds, smelly gym clothes or the occasional dirty children's pajamas and sheets. I couldn't get rid of the smell of vomit from our sheets and my pajamas after a particularly horrific incident involving a one year old who just drank a bottle of milk and then started throwing up all over me and our bed. I had washed the sheets 3 times to no avail when my housekeeper told me to use a teaspoon of this vinegar. It worked, and since then I've become a fan of any wash that needs a refresh. The clothes come out fresh and smell like the detergent I use, not vinegar. Every mom should have this in her arsenal.
